Parent consultation evenings These will be held virtually on Wednesday 17th November and Thursday 18th November. Mr Kemp will be holding his second evening on Tuesday 16th November due to taking a team of girls to a football match. Details have been sent out via Parentmail.
Year 6 were overwhelmingly excited about becoming junior librarians and helping out in the library. The badges have been ordered and will be awarded by Mrs Brown as soon as they arrive! The children are working in the library on a rota basis, which means the library is open every day before school from 8.30 and at lunchtime, for all children to change their books.
From the 12th – 19th of October we will be hosting a Scholastic Travelling Book Fair. The commission from sales at the fair allows us to purchase new books for the library and class reading lessons, so every book you buy helps us. There are lots of exciting new titles on sale as outlined in the brochure attached to this parent mail.
Autumn Fair - It was good to see so many people supporting our Autumn fair on Saturday. We were so lucky with the weather and everyone enjoyed playing the games on the playground and having a welcome opportunity to catch up with each other. The highlights of the day were the visits to the animals and the amazing Science show in the hall. It was fantastic to hear children squealing with amazement and excitement as the scientific experiments were explained and took place before their eyes with bursts of flame and loud explosions! It was so informative and captivating we aim to book workshop sessions for the whole school later in the academic year.
Many thanks to the members of the NST and their group of helpers for their hard work to enable events like this to take place at our school.

Choosing a junior school for your child is an important decision. We will be holding school tours for prospective parents on the following dates.
Wednesday 3rd November from 9:15am to 10:15
Thursday 4th November from 11:00am to 12:00
Wednesday 10th November from 11:00am to 12:00
Thursday 11th November from 5:30pm to 6:30
Friday 12th November from 9:15am to 10:15
Please note that we will be limiting these visits to a maximum of 10 visitors for each session. Please contact the school office on 01483 529870 to check availability and to book a school visit.
We have had a great start to the new school year ! The children have come back full of energy and eagerness to learn and showing real happiness to be back in school.
If your child was born between 1 September 2010 and 31 August 2011 you will need to apply for a secondary school place by 31 October 2021.

We hope you enjoyed the coffee afternoon yesterday, got a chance meet the teachers, see the classroom and visit our tour guides at the animal enclosure! Many of the children looked so excited, and exhausted by the end of their playtime.
