Please join us for an evening of celebration on Wednesday 20th July 6:00 - 8:30pm
For teachers, August is a time of relaxation and reflection. We think about how the past academic year has gone and start planning for the year ahead. For our children it is a time to kick back and forget about school!
All named lost property has been returned this week. Any unnamed lost property is in a red trolley in the Outdoor Classroom. If you are missing any items of uniform please check the trolley before Friday 24th June.
We hope to see many families enjoying the NST Colour Run on the school field on Saturday. This is a fun event being held for the children and will raise funds for all.
We are pleased to share this exciting news. Today we have passed the Wellbeing For Schools Award.
The summer term is always exciting, but this year after coming out of lock down it seems even more special than usual.
On Monday, we will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. To celebrate the jubilee, all primary school children across the country will receive a free commemorative book that celebrates the achievements of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth over the last 70 years. Schools can expect these to be delivered before the end of the summer term. As soon as we receive these at Northmead, we will send them home with your children.
IMPORTANT REMINDER - Order your school photos by 23rd June for FREE delivery to school. If you order after this date, a delivery charge will apply.
We are proud to be taking on the mental health and well-being award for schools. The award is helping us provide information, support and awareness across our whole school community. Our vision is to ensure good emotional well-being and mental health are at the heart of the culture and ethos of Northmead, so that pupils, with the support of their teachers, can build confidence and flourish.
We are having a Astra Recycling textile bank installed on the school premises. It will be located at the bottom of the driveway next to the building by the food hall.
We have had a lovely sunny start to the summer term and children and staff have returned refreshed from the Easter break. We have a busy term ahead filled with exciting activities, visits and residential trips, so there is a lot to look forward to.
