Is your child in year six? If your child was born between 1st September 2014 and 31st August 2015, you will need to apply for a secondary school place by 31st October 2025.

Your child’s flu vaccination is now due. This vaccination is recommended to help protect your child against influenza (flu). Flu can be an unpleasant illness and can cause serious complications. Vaccinating your child will also help to protect more vulnerable family and friends by preventing the spread of flu.
We will be taking individual studio photos at your school on 29th September 2025.
Children who have PE lessons on Monday should come to school in their school uniform, and bring their PE kits to change into after they have had their school photo taken.

A very warm welcome back to the start of the new school year. We hope you all had a restful summer and are ready for an exciting year ahead. This is our very first joint newsletter for Stoughton Infant School and Northmead Junior School, reflecting the closer partnership we are building together for the Stoughton community.
As we come to the end of another incredibly busy and successful school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve achieved. I feel proud of the many opportunities our children have experienced, from competing in Sports Hall Athletics, to performing on stage in the Christmas productions and enjoying enriching trips and residentials beyond the classroom.
Year Five and Six parents can give permission for their child to walk home alone via this form.
The summer term in primary school is often the most memorable time of the year. As adults, it’s the summer term we tend to look back on most fondly from our own school days—sunshine, outdoor fun, and special events. This half term may have been fairly short, but we’ve certainly packed a lot in!

With the warmer weather returning, it's important to be sun-smart by bringing hats, sunscreen and water bottles to school to stay safe and hydrated.
Parents are aware that Northmead moved over to a new MIS System (how we store and use our school data) called Bromcom during the February half-term. This change is currently happening in phases across all schools in the Learning Partners Academy Trust. If your child has siblings at Stoughton Infant School, you may already be familiar with this system.
