The children who wish to participate in this will travel by coach to London on the Monday morning and rehearse throughout the day before performing to a parent audience later in the evening. I can honestly say that it is enormous fun and certainly a great achievement to say that you have sung at the O2. However, it will require a lot of commitment and dedication in order to learn and practise the songs, with weekly rehearsals Thursday after school (starting 22nd September), so the children need to be keen. Also, the concert day itself is a very long day, with us not returning to school until approximately 11.00pm on the day of the concert. This must be taken into consideration when you agree for your child to take part, especially if they are in the lower school. Children who would like to sing at the club but not attend the concert are welcome to attend weekly, please email 3R@northmead.surrey.sch.uk.

If your child would like to participate in this wonderful experience, then you need to sign up, and commit to paying for a coach for your child to London. The places are limited to 30 children, and we will inform those who have made it to the waiting list. They are very welcome to come to the club but the money for the coach, t-shirt and parent tickets will be held until we know if a space is available. Any refunds will be made nearer the concert date for those who do not get a space. The prices are approximate, based on last year and we will do adjustments nearer the concert date. I will attempt to up our numbers with Young Voices but currently, they are limiting us. Please note, by allowing your child to participate in the concert, you are agreeing to your child being photographed and/or filmed by Young Voices during the event.

For your information:

• The children taking part in the concert will not need to pay for a ticket but we are asking for a contribution towards the shared cost of the coach and registration fee £31 to secure your space. This can be refunded if your child remains on the waiting list and does not get a space.
• Tickets for parents, family and friends to come and watch the concert cost (approximately £23), there is no discount for siblings/children and these need to be ordered through Northmead.
• As part of the event, the children are required to wear either a plain white t-shirt or the Young Voices t-shirt with their school uniform. The cost of the Young Voices t-shirt is (approximately £12).
